Here Is The Full List Of Winners From The 79th Tony Awards (2026 Tonys)

The biggest night in theater is officially in the history books. Today (June 7), the 79th Tony Awards (2026 Tonys), which was hosted by P!nk, brought out the industry’s heavyweights and newbies to New York City’s Radio City Music Hall to celebrate this season’s theater offerings.

As the night’s winners were announced, all eyes were on the cast of 2025-2026 Broadway’s breakout productions, Schmigadoon! and Cats: The Jellicle Ball. Both musicals snagged multiple nominations, and by night’s end, each had major wins under its belt.

Schmigadoon! took home Best Book of a Musical (Cinco Paul), Best Original Score (Cinco Paul), and Best Orchestrations (Doug Besterman and Mike Morris).

Cats: The Jellicle Ball made history. The musical took home Best Choreography (Arturo Lyons and Omari Wiles), Best Direction of a Musical (Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch), and Best Costume Design of a Musical (Qween Jean). Costumer Qween Jean’s victory makes her the first openly transgender Tony Award winner.

Other notable awards bestowed during this year’s ceremony included the 1/52 Project, Jake Bell, Kenn Lubin, and Loren Plotkin, who received the 2026 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theater. Mary-Mitchell Campbell being named the 2026 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award recipient. Lastly, the League of Resident Theatres (LORT) received the 2026 Special Tony Award.
