Nearly three years have passed since Tone Stith released his last project, P.O.V. The seven-track body of work marked his final venture with RCA Records.
Despite multiple guest verses and collaborations, it wasn’t until July 2025 that Stith shared his first solo record, “Shut Up,” as an independent artist. Well, supporters can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
On May 1, Stith took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce his long-awaited independent album debut, The Edge, with MNRK Music Group.
“It’s been 2 years in the making… life has sent me on the craziest ride I’ve ever experienced,” wrote Stith. “All of it has shaped me into who I am today. I’m proud to say I’ve given this album EVERYTHING I have, and now I’m giving it to you. This is my story, my road, and my journey… ‘THE EDGE,’ MAY 15th.”
Tone Stith has not yet revealed the album’s tracklist. However, the project will likely include Stith’s previously shared singles “Shut Up” and “Fly.”
On May 14 and 15, Stith will perform the album for fans at Blue Note Los Angeles. Then, on May 21, Stith will put on a performance at Blue Note New York City.
