The Musical ‘Ragtime’ Extends Its Broadway Run One Final Time Following Tony Award Wins

The 2026 Tony Awards have officially wrapped. Coming off of the coveted ceremony, theatergoers are racing to snag tickets to the winning productions. Well, their chance to see one of the night’s biggest winners (Best Revival of a Musical & Sound Design), Terrence McNally’s Ragtime, is winding down.

According to Playbill, the beloved musical will now run at the Vivian Beaumont Theater until August 16, 2026. This extension was announced as the Lincoln Center Theater production’s final extension.

With Ragtime now closing on August 16 instead of June 14, patrons can catch award-winning cast members Joshua Henry (Leading Actor in a Musical) as Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and Caissie Levy (Lead Actress in a Musical) as Mother before their final bow.

Before you snag your ticket, there have been quite a bit of casting shake-ups. Several cast members will have their final performances before Ragtime closes.

For example, July 12 is Ben Levi Ross’ final performance as Mother’s Younger Brother. The role will be succeeded by Jake Pedersen from July 14 to July 26. Then Nicholas Barrón will step in from July 28 until Ragtime closes on August 16.

On June 14, Colin Donnell (Father,) Anna Grace Barlow (Evelyn Nesbit), and Nick Barrington (The Little Boy) will take their final bow.

Ben Davis will take over as Father from June 16 until July 19, then again from August 4 to 16. Between those dates, from July 21 to August 2, Matthew Scott will step in.

From June 16 to July 16, Morgan Marcell will take over in the role of Evelyn Nesbit. Marina Kondo will close out the role from July 17 to August 16.

Current understudy Jackson Parker Gill will assume the role of The Little Boy beginning on June 16. Greyson Chapman will step into the understudy position.

On August 2, Shaina Taub (Emma Goldman) and Ellie May Sennett (The Little Girl) will play their final performances.

From August 4 to 16, Julie Benko will step in as Emma Goldman. At the same time, Tabitha Lawing takes over as The Little Girl. Current understudy Aerina DeBoer (The Little Girl) will retain her role.

You can catch Ragtime live at The Vivian Beaumont Theater, located inside of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts at 150 West 65th Street in New York, New York. To purchase tickets or to view the full production schedule, click here.
