Twitch by Caspar Camille Rubin

Video live streaming service Twitch continues to further its partnership with independent music distributors. Announced on their official website, the platform has begun developing a new creator tool named called Soundtrack by Twitch.

The tool offers rights-cleared music for user-run live streams by way of the original partnerships with labels and distributors such as EMPIRE, UnitedMasters, DistroKid, CDBaby, Beggars Group, AWAL, and Secretly Group. However, no deal has been made with Sony, Universal Music Group, or Warner Music Group.

When asked about the new tool, founder and CEO of UnitedMasters, Steve Stoute said, “this launch from Twitch is a gamechanger for independent artists everywhere.”
