Phish’s Trey Anastasio is headed to New York City. From November 28–30, the “Cayman Review” singer will talk over the city’s iconic Beacon Theatre for his annual onstage musical celebration.
The only problem is Anastasio’s three-night residency, The Beacon Jams, is completely sold out and has been for a while. But with the holiday season approaching, Anastasio is in the giving spirit.
Yesterday (November 18), Anastasio announced that to celebrate the fifth anniversary of his beloved show series, a free livestream webcast will be accessible to fans.
Beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern each night of the show, supporters can watch along by way of Phish’s official website (livephish.com/BeaconJams) as well as Nugs (nugs.net/BeaconJams). Although the broadcast is no-cost to access, fans are encouraged to make a monetary donation in another way, as the broadcast will serve as a benefit for Anastasio’s non-profit organization, Divided Sky Foundation.
In a statement, Anastasio expressed excitement for the forthcoming stream and how donations will help aid Divided Sky Foundation’s mission to provide affordable residential care to those struggling with addiction.
“The Beacon Jams shows were the most artistically satisfying thing I’ve ever worked on,” said Anastasio. “They meant so much to everyone involved — not just the audience, but the musicians as well. Everyone was hungry for music and connection, and somehow we found a way to create community in the middle of such a messed-up, isolating moment.”
He continued: “Even the name felt meaningful — like we were shining a searchlight into the fog and manifesting something positive out of something so negative.”
Anastasio went on to talk about the importance of Divided Sky Foundation’s outreach work.
“At the time, addiction and alcoholism numbers were climbing, and there we were celebrating this dream of creating a sober retreat that could truly help,” chimed Anastasio. “Now, five years later, that dream is a fully functioning facility doing incredible work. I’ve never been part of anything so pure in its intent. Musically, it was the pinnacle of my career because it combined everything I’ve ever done — Phish, TAB, my solo acoustic work, and the more orchestral projects. My hope is to bring that same spirit of openness and inclusiveness to these three anniversary shows.”
Trey Anastasio’s The Beacon Jams 2025 residency will take place between November 28–30, 2025, at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. The livestream will kick off each show day beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern via livephish.com/BeaconJams and nugs.net/BeaconJams. For more information, click here.
