After releasing six full-length studio albums, what else can be said? Well, that’s of no concern to Widowspeak. Members Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas have in no way run out of things to discuss. On their forthcoming seventh body of work, Roses, the topic is love—but not in the cheesy way.
As the album’s linear notes outline, Roses is about exploring the “intimate spaces and stages of love are captured with a nostalgic, vaseline-coated lens.”
Across the project’s 10 tracks, Widowspeak connects with longtime touring members Willy Muse, John Andrews, and Noah Bond, who help to craft the sonic landscape surrounding this intense chat. Other Roses collaborators include Drop of Sun Studios’ Alex Farrar, who mixed the album, and Chicago Mastering’s Greg Obis, who mastered the record.

Supporting Tour
Widowspeak will hit the road in June to promote Roses. During their Roses Tour, Widowspeak will be joined by Thomas Dollbaum, Neu Blume, and Dead Gowns. The group will also make appearances at several music festivals including Red Wing Roots, Pickathon, and Psych Lake City Festival.
