Noname is one of the most prolific lyricists of this generation. The “Shadow Man” musician partly credits her immersive songwriting to her love of words. Back in 2021, Noname expanded upon that passion by founding her namesake book club.
After years of online and in-person cultivation at The Radical Hood Library and beyond, the Noname Book Club is spreading that sense of community around the globe.
To further amplify this month’s literary pick (“I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou), the Noname Book Club and its chapters will host in-person meetups across Africa, the European Union, North America, and South America. The club will host meetups across the United States, making stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Houston, and more.
The international dates include stops in Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Berlin, London, Paris, Toronto, Medellín, and São Paulo.
