Pablo Torre is known for his in-depth coverage of the sports world’s biggest scandals via his podcast, Pablo Torre Finds Out. But the Pulitzer Prize and National Magazine Award winner will produce the drama.
In an exclusive, Deadline confirmed the journalist has joined forces with Vice Studios to develop a scripted television drama series. Casting, plot, series length, and other details have not yet been revealed. However, the outlet did hint that the story would lean into Torre’s sports reporting background.
Deadline claims the upcoming show would be centered on “sports ownership, extreme wealth, and corruption.”
Given the current sports media controversies, Torres has plenty of content to be inspired by. Deadline closed its exclusive, reporting that the ball will get rolling on the series on June 22, when Torre and Vice Studios President Amy Powell connect at Cannes Lions.
