The New West Records roster has grown. Yesterday (August 4), the Nashville-based label announced it had signed veteran singer-songwriter Josh Rouse.
“Please join us in welcoming @joshrouseofficial to the New West Records family,” wrote a rep for the label on Instagram. “We’re honored to be part of the next chapter of his career. Welcome to the family, Josh.”
To celebrate the milestone, Rouse shared that his forthcoming label debut, Museums and Women, would be released in the fall. To get a taste of what’s to come, Rouse dropped his lead single, “January Sky,” produced by Brad Jones.
In the album’s liner notes provided by the label, Museums and Women is described as “a balancing of casual poetry with wry humor across a collection of characters who are searching but never desperate, longing but never lonely.”
