Samica Jhangiani, known mononymously as Samica, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist celebrated for her soulful voice and fusion of Indian classical and American musical influences. Born and raised in San Francisco, California, she began singing at a young age, inspired by her grandmother’s performances at the temple. At 13, Samica started writing her own songs, showcasing her early passion for music.

After high school, Samica attended Boston University, where she explored various fields before focusing on business studies. During her time in Boston, she actively participated in the local music scene, performing and collaborating with fellow artists.

In 2019, Samica released her debut single, “Alright,” which garnered significant attention and amassed nearly half a million plays on Spotify. She followed this success with the 2020 EP “Call Me,” featuring a collection of soulful tracks that further established her presence in the music industry.

Samica participated in the Kollaboration Boston talent showcase, where she was recognized as a finalist.
