The number of the day is six. Six years ago, THAO released her latest studio album. Now, the “Fossils” musician is ready to follow-up Temple with forthcoming body of work, Show Me.
As single, “Sick of the Times,” “Nguyen Nguyen Lose Lose,” and “Catch As Catch Can” show, THAO’s sixth studio album is her most personal project to date. Throughout the 11 track release, listeners follow THAO’s journey of self-discovery and self-love following divorce.
In a statement shared with ENVERT, THAO expanded on the message behind Show Me.
“This record is a real-time record-keeping of my life evolving into love the last few years,” said Nguyen. “Some songs are snapshots of moments I’ve never felt before, some are ruminations of what I need to keep, what I want to shear, what I want to move toward.”
Show Me is produced largely by Nguyen with additional production by Merrill Garbus, Nate Brenner, and Eli Crews.
