Nearly a month ago, Rapsody dropped her highly anticipated fifth studio album, God Gotta Afro & Gold Hoops. As the follow-up to her acclaimed 2024 body of work, Please Don’t Cry, Rapsody challenged herself even further in all creative ways.
Rooted in multilayered storytelling, spiritual exploration, and pure lyrical gymnastics, God Gotta Afro & Gold Hoops has already proven to be a prolific work of art. Now, the Grammy Award winner is preparing to take the album on the road.
Yesterday (September 10), Rapsody took to Instagram to announce the This Broadcast Is Live Tour this fall.
“An intimate 4-city tour of GOD GOTTA AFRO & GOLD HOOPS,” wrote Rapsody. “Unplugged style. Only 4 dates for this experience.”
She continued, “I can’t wait to share space and good vibrations with you. And to the ones who can’t make these shows, more tours to come. Worldwide. Stay tuned. THIS BROADCAST IS LIVE!”
Rapsody’s This Broadcast Is Live Tour will kick off on October 16 at the Crown Hill Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. Along the way, Rapsody will also stop in Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. At this time, Rapsody has not yet unveiled any opening acts.
