Sabrina Teitelbaum, better known as Blondshell, is on a hot streak. Last year, the singer-songwriter dropped If You Asked For A Picture, her highly anticipated album follow-up to her 2023 self-titled debut.
But the “Heart Has To Work So Hard” musician’s creative well is far from dry. This week, Blondshell is set to release another full-length body of work. Blondshell’s third studio project, Violins, is an “album of grandeur, drama, and tragedy,” according to the liner notes provided by her label.
Inspired by Gang of Four, Teenage Fanclub, The Go-Betweens, and Sade, with lyrical homage paid to Leonard Cohen and Pavement, Blondshell’s Violins is described as trading “the veil of bad romantic relationships for something braver, asking how we balance the world’s violence with its beauty across songs about troubled friendships, religion, the body, and the long, unglamorous work of healing.”
As heard on the album’s lead singles, “Heart Has To Work So Hard” and “Fur Elise,” Blondshell ripped her heart from her sleeve, then left it in the recording booth.
In a note to supporters shared on Instagram, Blondshell gushed about the forthcoming project, writing: “Each time I get to do this, the music ends up closer to what I intended. I feel so proud of the record and excited to show you.”

Supporting Tour
Beginning in December, Blondshell will launch her 2026 Scaring Strangers Tour. The 21-date run will be split into two legs: Europe/UK and North America. Blondshell’s time in Europe will end on December 17. Then Blondshell will return to the US on February 28, 2027, to launch the tour’s North America leg.
