It’s been a long three years since Cleo Sol‘s last double album release. As with all Cleo Sol releases, Gold and Heaven continue to be enjoyed by her fans. But Cleo Sol is ready to drop a fresh body of work.
Over on Instagram, Cleo Sol shocked supporters when she formally announced her next studio album, Gentlewoman. The upload’s thumbnail confirmed Gentlewoman would hit streaming platforms on August 20.
“My 5th album,” wrote Cleo Sol. “Grateful 🙌🏽.”
The snippet features bustling audio of what seems to be a busy crowd before a stern piano arrangement cracks through, demanding listeners’ ears. Then, the composition gently makes way for Cleo’s tender vocals.
“Gentlewoman, I hear you / We are making it through / I see how hard you have worked / Be easy, you are safe to love again,” sings Cleo, choking on her words.
After a deep exhale, the clip continues, “I’ll stand by you / I’ll stand by you / I’ll stand by you.”
As with all of Cleo Sol’s work, Gentlewoman appears to continue on this path. But that is solidified as she closed the video with a direct message to followers.
“I can speak life into my family because I can speak life into myself, and God, I thank you for that strength because I feel like you helped me to persevere,” professed Cleo.
A few days prior, Cleo Sol prepped supporters for the exciting news. Posting a candid photo from within a recording studio, the “When I’m In Your Arms” singer teased that something was coming down the pipeline.
“Album done 🥹💖,” declared Cleo Sol.
Cleo Sol is keeping things tight-lipped, as no further details surrounding the album (album artwork, official length, or production credits) have been shared. As far as sonic direction goes, fans believe Cleo Sol’s previously released tracks “Fear When You Fly” (2024) and “Nothing Is Impossible With You” (2026) could serve as a breadcrumb. It is safe to assume Gentlewoman will blend Cleo’s captivating signature soul with the gospel songwriting structure followed on “Nothing Is Impossible With You.”
Gentlewoman will mark Cleo Sol’s highly anticipated follow-up to her 2023 studio projects Gold and Heaven.
Gentlewoman is due out on August 20, 2026, via Forever Living Originals.
