Atop the year, Joy Oladokun inked a new record deal with their self-owned label Feed The Family Records and established entertainment company Concord. In their debut single, “Nothing Comes Easy,” Oladokun opened up about the quiet battle they had been fighting within the industry.
Now, several months removed, that honesty has been poured onto Oladokun’s upcoming studio album, Hope Is A Heavy Thing. The body of work is due out September 25, but before it hits streaming platforms, Oladokun has already revealed their live show plans.
Over on Instagram, Oladokun rolled out their The Heavy Things Tour dates this fall.
“We’re taking a little hope on the road this year,” wrote Oladokun.
On October 16, The Heavy Things Tour will officially kick off in Houston, Texas at The Heights Theater. Along the 21-date run, Oladokun will make stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Chicago, Brooklyn, Nashville, and many more major cities.
