This fall, Phoebe Bridgers will travel the world as part of her recently revealed The Lost Tour. But announcements from the “Savior Complex” singer are far from over. Today (June 24), the Grammy Award winner took to Instagram to reveal details surrounding her next solo studio release.
“My third album, Lost Weekend, is out August 14th,” wrote Bridgers. “You can preorder it now. First song comes out tomorrow.”
Lost Weekend marks the musician’s long-awaited follow-up to her Grammy-nominated sophomore album, Punisher. Lost Weekend will also serve as Bridgers’ first solo full-length release since the critically acclaimed 2020 body of work.
While fans will have to wait until tomorrow (June 25) to dive into the project’s lead single, some details have been sprinkled online. According to the pre-save pages on streaming services Apple Music and Spotify, Lost Weekend will feature 17 tracks.
In a note shared with ENVERT, a Dead Ocean rep wrote this about the upcoming project: “Anyone queuing up ‘Lost Weekend’ can expect to discover something more remarkable. Bridgers is at the height of her powers, a master, taking nothing more seriously than this craft, refining here many of the motifs that distinguished her work previously.”
Alongside the album cover reveal, Bridgers confirmed that supporters will have a few options when it comes to snagging a vinyl. Currently, there are two limited edition offerings to compliment the standard 2xLP ($35.99): the zodiacal light vinyl variant ($33.99) and the neptune winds color ($40.99) Other purchase options include a digital album ($10.99), CD ($14.99), and cassette tape ($15.99).
