Here’s Everything We Know About: Melody’s Echo Chamber’s Album ‘Unclouded’

Melody’s Echo Chamber is currently embarking on a life-affirming new chapter. To commemorate this, the “I Follow You” documents this newly appreciated moment on the album Unclouded.

Across the forthcoming body of work’s lead singles “In The Stars,” “Eyes Closed,” and “Daisy” featuring El Michels Affair expands Melody’s Echo Chamber’s self-described “brand of psychedelic pop.”

Co-produced by and co-written with Sven Wunder, Unclouded is rooted in Melody’s Echo Chamber’s desire to blend together her existences. In a statement, the musician spoke about the inspiration for the title pulled from Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki’s famous words.

“The music I create unusually inhabits the liminal zone between realism and fables,” said Melody’s Echo Chamber. “But the more experience I have of living, the deeper I love life and the less I need to escape. If my heart still belongs to the blue hour, it also feels like I’ve gathered up all the pieces of myself that were scattered everywhere and glued them together with gold like Japanese kintsugi.”

Other collaborators’ fans will hear sprinkled throughout the project include Josefin Runsteen, Dina Ögon’s Daniel Ögen and Love Orsan, the Heliocentrics’ Malcolm Catto, and Dungen’s Reine Fiske.
