With three fresh singles (“Damn,” “Marigolds,” and “How To Live”) burning up on streaming platforms, Del Water Gap’s next music era is approaching the horizon.
Del Water Gap’s highly anticipated third studio album, Chasing The Chimera, marks the reunion of Del and longtime collaborator, producer Gabe Goodman, and instrumentalist Jonathan Wilson.
In the project’s liner notes, Chasing The Chimera is described as “the arc of self-discovery in all of its messy beauty – the journey of a narrator in flux, fighting the pull of his self-destructive impulses; a romantic with a God problem, longing for clarity, forgiveness, and a version of adulthood that doesn’t feel like surrender.”
Expanding on the album’s synopsis, on Instagram, Del Water spoke about the inspiration behind Chasing The Chimera.
“This is where I’ve been the last year & it’s been healing my cynical heart and I hope you’ll find a place for these songs,” penned Del.
