Here’s Everything We Know About: The Lemonheads’ Album ‘Love Chant’

The band is back together—The Lemonheads, that is. After nearly two decades, Evan Dando alongside several notable collaborators, hit the studio to deliver fresh original material for fans of The Lemonheads.

During the hiatus, Dando dedicated years to “writing, wandering, and starting over,” which shaped The Lemonheads’ forthcoming album, Love Chant, marking his a “chance to reset, reconnect, and finally bring these songs into focus.”

“Shaped by [Dando’s] shifting geographies [now based in Brazil] and a cast of trusted collaborators, [‘Love Chant’] is a bold, melodic reaffirmation of one of alternative rock’s most distinctive voices,” reads the project’s liner notes.

Produced by Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Apollo Nove, Love Chant, draws together old friends and new allies including J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr), Juliana Hatfield, and Tom Morgan, producer Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Antony and the Johnsons), Nashville’s Erin Rae, John Strohm of the Blake Babies, Nick Saloman (The Bevis Frond), Adam Green (The Moldy Peaches).

“‘Love Chant’ feels like more than a return — it’s a reminder of what made [The Lemonheads] matter in the first place,” said Dando in a statement.
