Shaboozey has taken the world of country music by storm. Now, the “Took A Walk” musician is looking for other acts that can do the same. Thanks to the record label he founded, that mission is well underway.
Exclusively announced with Billboard, Shaboozey’s AMERICAN DOGWOOD label, formed in partnership with EMPIRE, has unveiled its first signee, Kevin Powers.
Over on Instagram, Shaboozey gushed about the development.
“AMERICAN DOGWOOD is a tribute to where we come from, and to the artists, storytellers, and creators who make this life remarkable,” wrote Shaboozey. “Our mission is to nurture the next generation of voices and to give them a place to grow, connect, and create.”
He continued: “This is the beginning of a new chapter — one I hope always feels like home. Proud to kick off this journey with you, Kevin Powers!”
Kevin Powers’ AMERICAN DOGWOOD debut single “Move On” is set to drop tomorrow (September 19). To give supporters a taste of what’s to come, Powers shared a snippet of the forthcoming song, which will feature Shaboozey, across his social media pages. Take a listen to the teaser below.
Shaboozey supporters will have a front-row view of Powers’ growth. Powers is set to join Shaboozey on the road as The Great American Roadshow Tour support.
