Biblically, the number 10 has many spiritual meanings. The most widely referenced is the establishment of divine law and the responsibilities bestowed on believers (i.e., the Ten Commandments).
However, for Lecrae’s forthcoming tenth studio album, Reconstruction, the focus leans more toward the elements of completeness and God’s perfect plan.
On the project’s lead singles, “Tell No Lie” featuring Jackie Hill Perry, “Bless You” featuring Torey D’Shaun, “Die For The Party,” and “Still Here,” in a multitude of ways, Lecrae glides toward completeness.
During his recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Lecrae discussed the upcoming project and seemingly confirmed the numerical connection.
When asked about the inspiration behind its title, Lecrae said, “Reconstruction is its theme. It’s thematic for my life and what I’ve experienced. But it’s also just the era we [are] living in. We dispose of people. We throw them away […] God doesn’t just want to destroy people, he wants to reconstruct them. Reuse them.”
