Last year, Jay Som musically popped their head out with a sprinkle of guest features. Jay Som even lent their voice to A24’s I Saw The TV Glow soundtrack with the track, “If I Could.”
Still, it’s been four years since Jay Som’s latest full-length release (2021’s Doomin’ Sun). In October, this will change once Jay Som’s highly anticipated album, Belong, is released via Polyvinyl Records.
So far, Jay Som has shared two striking singles (“Float” featuring Jimmy Eat World’s Jim Adkins and “A Million Reasons Why”) to usher fans into their sonic vision.
Although Jay Som has kept it tight-lipped about other creative elements of the project. But in footnotes provided to ENVERT, it was shared that Belong was recorded between Los Angeles, California (EMA Studios) and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Headroom Studios).
The note also revealed each song was written, composed, performed, and produced by Jay Som, Soft Glas’ Joao Gonzalez, Mal Hauser, Steph Marziano, and Madden Klass, with additional production from Kyle Pulley.

Supporting Tour
Jay Som is currently on the road as a Lucy Dacus’ Forever Is A Feeling Tour. Still, after Belong hits streaming platforms, Jay Som will embark on their own headlining tour to support Belong.
