If there were a crown for the most promising, rising punk rock band, Pinkshift would easily take it.
The Baltimore three-piece has already earned co-signs from PUP, Pussy Riot, The Linda Lindas, and Mannequin Pussy. In August, Pinkshift plans on providing sonic evidence to validate those massive co-signs with their forthcoming album, Earthkeeper.
“The earth keeper is a reflection of universal consciousness,” wrote the band in a statement about their inspiration. “A protector of existence, which life personifies.
Personifying and experiencing existence is what makes life mystical and magical. The experience is unique, undeniable, and therefore special.”
So far, Pinkshift has shared two singles (“Evil Eye” and “Anita Ride”) from the project to give fans a taste of what’s to come. Another offering will come by way of their album release shows on August 27 (in New York City), August 28 (in Philadelphia), and August 30 (in Baltimore).
