The EP Spectacle: Daisy The Great Vs. Tony Visconti hit streaming platforms. While many of Daisy The Great‘s supporters are still enjoying the five alt-pop folk tunes, there’s more music to come.
It’s been three years since Daisy The Great shared their last studio album, All You Need Is Time. The wait for another full-length LP is coming to an end. Next week, The Rubber Teeth Talk is scheduled for release.
So far, fans have sampled three records from the forthcoming body of work, including singles “Ballerina,” “Mary’s At The Carnival,” and “Bird Bones.” Each song represents a slice of Daisy The Great (Kelley Dugan and Mina Walker) and executive producer Catherine Marks’ sonic vision, which was partially inspired by the musical innovations of Fiona Apple, The Sundays, David Bowie, Dirty Projectors, and Liz Phair.
In a statement, the Grammy Award nominee praised the duo’s warm, creative process. “We laughed a lot making this record,” said Marks. “But there were also many moments that made us shed a little tear. When I first heard the songs, I was immediately transported into their world. I love the character and sonic identity we’ve created for each song, guided by their storytelling. This album is so undeniably them, and I love it.”
