As a member of the Grammy Award-nominated group Little Dragon, Yukimi grooved her way into electronic music lovers’ hearts. Now, Yukimi is ready to step onto a solo beat and path with her debut solo album, For You.
Last year, Yukimi turned up the volume with her debut solo single, “Break Me Down.” That was excitedly followed up with songs “Stream of Consciousness” featuring Lianne La Havas, “Sad Makeup,” and “Winter Is Not Dead.”
Yukimi discussed the inspiration behind the forthcoming body of work in a statement. “I want this music to really be a force to connect people to each other, and step away from the madness of everything on the planet right now.,” she said. “And I’m excited about embarking on that journey on my own – the expression really feels pure.”
