Dallas based recording artist David Morgan is making a huge splash on the Internet with his vibrant sounds and even bolder fashion sense and his latest single, “Soul Sister” produced by BadFelon emphasizes why.
In an exclusive sit down we asked about how came to work with BadFelon and the inspiration behind the track to which responded, “I met BadFelon last year in Lubbock, Texas of all places. We were both a part of a major production called “Click” put together by Amy and Scott Faris. It was a mix of ballet, rock, classical, hip hop, and acoustic music. Very reminiscent of a Broadway musical. Chris (BadFelon) was one of the background singers in the production and he helped bring a new layer to a song that I wrote for it. After working together so effortlessly there, he asked if I was interested in working on songs of our own. Since then, we’ve worked on about 4 songs, with Soul Sister being the first one we officially released. He’s a really sick songwriter, singer, and producer and I’m very fortunate to have crossed paths with him,” adding, “the inspiration behind the song came from him. He sent me the instrumental with nothing but the chorus and told me the idea he had in mind for it. It just so happened that I was actually going through a similar situation so it made it real easy to really bring his idea to life. I pretty much said “What would I say to my dream girl if I had the chance?” and the song pretty much wrote itself.”

When asked about what fans could expect on his forthcoming project, Morgan responded, “Soul Sister is definitely an indicator of things to come. I’m working on an EP called ‘L(OVER)’ that I plan to put out pretty soon and this was the first single”.
