On her new single, “Automatic,” produced by Dreek Beatz, Zyah Belle demonstrates that love can be put on cruise control. To deliver this luscious dose of healthy romance, Zyah Belle teamed up with fellow lover of love, Dende.
Zyah Belle’s rich vocal tones and honest songwriting make “Automatic” yet another dreamy, lovers’ anthem in her catalog, with Dende’s inclusion speaking to her masterful ear for impeccable collaborators.
“Turn me on at the flip of a switch / This is real, ain’t no counterfeit / Ain’t no changing shape or forcing it / We just flowing, we so fortunate / We go together like 3000 on the hardest beat / Smoother than The Isley Brothers in ‘Between The Sheets’ / Got me blushing, blood rushing when you close to me / I feel like I can breathe,” sings Zyah Belle.
Dende picks up what Zyah put down in his verse, rapping: “Automatic like tap to pay / Automatic like push to starts / Automatic like if you show me love today imma give it right back tomorrow / Automatic like flipping switch, what we got ‘tween us is more than just a spark.”
In a note posted on TikTok, Zyah Belle shared the emotional origins of the tune.
“Everything happens in its divine timing,” she penned. “When I wrote this song, I was in a pretty low place. I was also about 50 pounds heavier and dealing with a lot of grief. I often write songs from places that I don’t feel in the present moment, sometimes to manifest what I would like to feel in the future. I’m so happy that I have arrived.”
