Trevor Jackson Attempts To Shake His Playboy Reputation On The Fortifying New Single ‘Friend Of A Friend’

Honesty is the best policy. But what do you do when your truth isn’t believed? Trevor Jackson shines a light on this tricky space on his new single, “Friend Of A Friend.”

Co-written alongside Alexander Jordan Thomas, Daniel Breland, and Mark A. Hudson, on “Friend Of A Friend,” Jackson combats his Playboy image to a skeptical lover.

“She ain’t nothing but a friend of a friend of a friend / We go through this again and again and again,” sings Jackson.

Produced by RockBoyBeats, “Friend Of A Friend” serves as the first taste of Trevor Jackson’s forthcoming album. On Instagram, Jackson hinted at the project. Still, details (title, release date, and more) around the body of work haven’t been unveiled.

In a statement shared with ENVERT, Trevor spoke about the origins of “Friend Of A Friend.”

“[‘Friend Of A Friend’ was] written during a period of personal upheaval,” he said. “[That time included] the end of a six-year relationship.”
