Top 19 Albums of 2019

‘Twas the end of the year and a wrap recap is due! This year was another successful year for indie artists. From Tobe Nwigwe‘s smash song “I’m Dope” making it to the official soundtrack for the National Basketball Association’s premier game 2K20, Radamiz partnering with the brand Timberland for a national campaign to Qu’ality selling out off his Cultivator x Nike By You collaboration “The Lunch Special” sneaker, indie was truly winning.

But this year’s releases were certainly one for the books. Here are our top 19 albums and EPs of the year ranging from Hip-Hop to Jazz (in no particular order)! Let us know what were your favorite releases of the year below in the comment section.

Honorable mentions include The Great Escape by Bridget Kelly, IX by Zyah Belle, Dusty by Homeboy Sandman, From the 908 by Brainorchestra, ZUU by Denzel Curry, Who’s Watching The Kids 2 by Mir Fontane, Sincerely, Detroit by Apollo Brown, Moral of the Story: Chapter 2 by Ashe, Soul Trash by Toro y Moi, and G.I.T.U. by Chris Rivers.
