In 2024, Tiny Habits burst onto the scene with their debut studio album, All For Something. At the time, the trio, which consists of Maya Rae, Cinya Khan and Judah Mayowa, were viewed as a blank sonic canvas.
Following the release of that project, Tiny Habits have painted a vibrant picture of what they have to offer listeners. Now, after establishing a cult-like following, Tiny Habits are ready to follow up their beloved introductory body of work. This week, Tiny Habits will drop their highly anticipated sophomore album, Keepers.
As for what supporters should expect from the album, in a statement shared with ENVERT, Tiny Habits provided creative insight.
“[Our single] “Belt Loop” allowed us to delve into a new side of our writing and tackle some topics we haven’t previously discussed in our repertoire,” said the group. “The song grew out of the emotional aftermath of an intense breakup, revealing the strange, vulnerable experience of being with someone new for the first time after a relationship ends.”
They continued, “There’s a tension in that moment: trying to be present, feeling your way through something unfamiliar, and discovering parts of yourself that maybe haven’t had space to come forward before.”
Tiny Habits went on to address their public perception and how Keepers will turn that on its head.
“Over the past few years, we’ve often been described as ‘cute’ or ‘pretty’ as a band, but with this album, we wanted to embrace a wider emotional and physical range,” chimed the group. “This song gave us permission to lean into something more playful, sensual and grown-up, while still keeping honesty at the centre of it.”
