Thread Imprint‘s BYHAZE has a summer smash on his hands! The singer made a big splash in New Jersey’s underground’s music scene with the release of his debut single, “I Like” featuring Eboni Pearce and returns with his follow-up single, “Magnetic”.
The “protect your energy” anthem produced by NADUS and EZRAKH is a musical manifestation of good karma and that’s apparent in the official music video directed by Aaron Wilson W. With original choreography by Soul Sistas featuring ZUNYDA, Rugdha Baldo, Briana Renee and HENNY HARMON, it’s next to impossible not to dance along.
We asked BYHAZE about the inspiration behind the video, to which he replied, “I wrote ‘Magnetic’ to help myself heal after a heartbreak. It allowed me to recognize my worth and gave me a mantra to remove myself from a situation that no longer served me. The message to remove all negativity!”
In a statement released by director Aaron Wilson W, he talks about the chance to collaborate with BYHAZE, “I approach each project I do with the notion that there is already a story there, there’s already something to be said. The process becomes carving away the nonsense,” adding, “ByHaze came to me with ideas around color and from there we worked with the resources we had, we organically feed off each other and used the material. The colors, the silhouettes, the movements all represent getting out of a toxic situation.”
