Grammy Award-nominated vocalist Teddy Swims’ The Ugly Tour has become the tour that never ends. But fans surely aren’t complaining. Plus, the “Lose Control” singer has used his global travels to platform budding acts. So, in the end everyone wins.
This fall, Swims’ mission to amplify independent recording artists will continue when he treks it around North America. On September 22, The Ugly Tour will begin its 32-date run across the United States and Canada.
To support Swims on the road, you have independent musicians Mac Ayres, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, MarcLo, soul superstar Allen Stone, and pop legend Natasha Bedingfield, as well as Island Records’ signee Wyatt Flores and Warner’s signee Avery Anna.
The Ugly Tour will launch on September 22 in Kansas City, Missouri. At that time, Mac Ayres and MarcLo will serve as opening support. While MarcLo will remain on the tour until it wraps on November 18 in Los Angeles, California, Mac Ayres’ final supporting slot is scheduled for October 2 in Brooklyn, New York. Then St. Paul & The Broken Bones will step in.
By the October 22 show in Orlando, Florida, Wyatt Flores will take over for St. Paul & The Broken Bones for each of Swims’ Florida shows (October 22 in Orlando, October 23 in Sunrise, and
October 25 in Tampa).
Avery Anna is set to open for two of Swims’ three Texas shows. Those shows are October 27 in Houston and October 28 in Austin. From November 1 (Denver) to November 8 (Portland), Allen will grab the reins.
To wrap up The Ugly Tour on the west coast, from November 10 to November 18, Natasha Bedingfield will serve as Swims’ second supporting act.
