The seasons are a vital part of every living organism’s survival. necessary in all aspects of life. With each quarterly transition there are lessons to gather and apply on a personal level. One of the most beloved seasons, spring, is the creative focal point of multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Tasha’s forthcoming album.
According to the liner notes provided by Tasha’s label, Bayonet, You Are Spring is more than an earthly reference. The mission of the upcoming body of work is to help listeners shed the darkest, cold, distant, gloomy reality of all surrounding them, including political turmoil.
“Tasha spirits us away from dull, gray winter into a world replete with images and sensations of new life,” reads the description. “Think: a riot of bell shaped blooms; blush and citrine and butter yellow; the sky a clear, lungful of blue; warmth, everywhere, kissing skin overwintered and longing for touch; ease after suffering; a deep breath after suffocating.”
With a Tony Award nomination (Illinoise) and frequent collaborator Gregory Uhlmann by her side, Tasha digs deep into the enrichment mission heard on lead singles “Spring” featuring L’Rain & Jamila Woods, “Clarion,” “Summer,” and “Quick!”
In a statement shared with ENVERT, Tasha discussed the message of hope You Are Spring! promotes.
“It’s a way to say you are the thing that other people are looking forward to; you are the thing we’re waiting for; you are the beautiful thing,” said Tasha.
You Are Spring! marks Tasha’s follow-up to 2024’s All This and So Much More.
Other confirmed You Are Spring! collaborators include instrumentalists Gregory Uhlmann (guitarist); Gregory Uhlmann (bass, piano, & synths); Tim Carr (drums and percussion); Domenica Fossati (flute); and Mari Rubio (strings).
You Are Spring! was co-produced by Uhlmann and Tasha, recorded by Jason Agel, and mixed & mastered by Dave Vettraino.

Supporting Tour
Tasha has not announced an official tour to support You Are Spring!‘s release. Instead, Tasha revealed an intimate one-night-only record release show at Union Pool. The performance is scheduled for July 11 with special guests Babas and Semiratruth. Continue below for the ticket link.
