IMG Records‘ artist Tangina Stone has been on a traveling spree this year promoting her debut album Elevate. After appearances across the U.S. sponsored by Spirit Airlines, and internationally via her tour in Japan, she’s now setting her watch to British Standard Time and heading to the UK!
In addition to taking in some recording sessions, she and Nitty Scott will be in London for the BBC Proms, New York: Sound of a City Prom.
Led by innovative conductor Jules Buckley and his Heritage Orchestra, featuring performances from well-established US artists Sharon Van Etten, serpentwithfeet and Hercules & Love Affair. New York: Sound of a City will be at the Royal Albert Hall on 8th August at 10.15 p.m. and recorded for broadcast on BBC Four on Friday, 10 August. Nitty Scott is a name you need to know too! The Brooklyn-based emcee has made a name for herself with her honest, hard-hitting brand of hip-hop. Nitty’s identity as an Afro-Latina is paramount to her, and this shines through in her work and image.
These elements make for a compelling and genuine artist who’s bringing a fresh perspective to BBC Proms when she takes the stage. You can find her latest release, Creature, on all major streaming services.
