New York City based independent record label, Mom + Pop, has had a breakout year thanks in part to the success of their acts such as pop/electronic fusion artist Flume, indie rocker Tash Sultana, indie-electronic artist Jai Wolf and indie-psych dance duo Jagwar Ma. But just when you thought the label’s year couldn’t get any better the announce the singing of both Sunflower Bean & Hotel Garuda!
First up, Sunflower Bean – a three-piece indie rock act providing a modern take on New York’s rock heritage. Their debut album Human Ceremony captured our hearts and minds with its iconic sound and poignant lyrics. Today they make their M+P debut with their brand new song “I Was A Fool.”
Next up, Hotel Garuda: a super-duo consisting of Manila Killa and Candle Weather; two artists who have been leading the charge on LA’s burgeoning Electronic Dance Music scene. Their latest track “Dancing on the Moon,” was written with yet another household name in the electronic music scene, Lemaitre. Trust us when we say, you’re going to want to turn the volume up and get out of your chairs for this one.
