Stimulator Jones Signs With Bastard Jazz And Shares Label Debut Single ‘Paradise Untold’

For three years, fans have patiently awaited new music from Stimulator Jones. Since the release of the musician’s last studio album, Round Spiritual Ring, Jones has brushed off questions from users online about his next moves.

Now, Stimulator Jones has returned not only with new music but on a new label home. Over on Instagram, Stimulator Jones announced his signing deal with Bastard Jazz. Simultaneously, Jones shared the genre-fluid single, “Paradise Untold.”

“Y’all, time for a big cool announcement. Very stoked to say that I’ve signed with Bastard Jazz and will be releasing a new album with them in 2026,” he wrote. “Dude bros that randomly leave me comments like, ‘yoU dOn’t mAkE mUsiC wiTh siNginG anYmOrE?’ will be happy to know that YES IT WILL BE ALL SONGS WITH VOCALS.”

Later in the post, he addressed his former deal with Stones Throw.

“I’m in a revealing mood, so I’ll go ahead & clear up some inevitable questions,” he wrote. “My contract with Stones Throw was fulfilled following the release of the Round Spiritual Ring LP (which bricked btw) and I chose to explore other avenues, so no, I am technically not signed with them at this juncture.”

He continued: “But I’m eternally grateful for all they helped me with. Yes, I will still continue to release club/dance/electronic EP’s & singles with other indie labels like Star Creature et al. I made the decision a long time ago not to confine myself to any one style or genre, which goes against the grain in terms of marketing, especially in today’s world of hyper-categorical algorithm-driven media consumption.”

Later in the post, Stimulator Jones touched on expectations placed on him.

“I am an artist & above all HUMAN & I’ve made it my mission to short-circuit the algorithm & set the example for our children of total free expression & limitless creativity. Be who you want to be,” he added. “Don’t put a leash on yourself & on your art for the sake of commerce & conformity. Life’s too short. I’d rather die knowing I lived free & created what the f*ck I wanted to create instead of playing it safe & coloring inside the lines & grooming myself into some easily digestible packaged product.”

Stimulator Jones also spoke about the artistic comparisons he’s quietly navigated.

“Constantly becoming, never arriving – as Bob Dylan put it. I don’t care if people can’t put a finger on who I am or what I do. I am everything & nothing,” he wrote. “I’m not Mayer H, I’m not Jon B, I’m not JMSN. I’m me, and me is whatever I want to be. [Nothing against those guys btw] The R&B crooner thing is just one single facet of me, it is not my definition, I am not bound to it. Stimulator Jones has no meaning.”

He closed the note, writing: “It is only a name. I AM MUSIC – boundless, universal. True and imperfect. Ever-changing like life. Liquid, moving. Join me on a never-ending journey into sound.”

According to Jones, “Paradise Untold” is an appetizer of what’s to come. The recording artist teased that his Bastard Jazz album debut will arrive next year.
