Los Angeles-based music collective Soulection’s 14th anniversary celebrations are far from over. In 2024, the group launched a mini-tour with stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Houston. Their mission to connect people through music has continued with a series of performances earlier this year. But Soulection’s biggest event is yet to come.
In July, Soulection’s live curation ambition will reach a new height as they’ve announced Soulection In The Park. The outdoor event scheduled for July 27 will take over Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens, New York.
“This is the one,” wrote the team on Instagram. “Soulection in the Park, New York. 14 years of sound, all leading to this moment. 10K+ strong. All ages. All love.”
To host the event at New York City’s fourth-largest public park (which spans 897 acres), Soulection is ready to prove its influence.
The event is described as “a one-day cultural celebration that will transform one of New York City’s most iconic public spaces—located in one of the world’s most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods—into a day-long, open-air gathering of sound, art, and community. Known for seamlessly blending soul, hip-hop, electronic, and global rhythms, Soulection will curate a powerful lineup of DJs, producers, and creatives from across its international network for a rare East Coast outdoor showcase.”
