Rochelle Jordan is one of the most commanding voices in genre-blending music. Across alt-R&B and EDM, the “Lowkey” singer has carved out a lane for herself, and fans have faithfully followed Jordan.
Four years removed from Play With The Changes, Jordan is back to supply supporters with another addictive soundtrack. This Friday (September 26), Rochelle Jordan’s long-awaited follow-up Through The Way will hit streaming platforms.
So far, the world has sampled the forthcoming project’s title track as well as singles “Sweet Sensation,” “Doing It Too,” and “Crave,” which was produced by Chicago house legend Terry Hunter.
As for the creative vision behind the title track, in a statement, Jordan spoke about her inspiration.
“It carries so much power to me,” said Jordan. “It’s magic. It’s hypnosis. It’s a mantra. This track sets my soul free, so I’m happy to share this with the world, and I hope it touches everyone.”
She continued: “These lyrics are my self-talk when I’m affirming all the reasons why I stay so resilient. Why I never quit on myself or the things I wanted to attain in my life. The truth of leaning into your purpose usually is a difficult and complicated journey. How long getting to your goal takes sometimes, down to the haters that want to see you fail for whatever reason, down to your self-saboteur.”
