Los Angeles-based electronic/alt-R&B duo, Rituals Of Mine, officially signs with Carpark Records. As the pair gears up for the release of their debut EP SLEEPER HOLD on October 4th, they released the official video for the first single, “BURST”.
When asked by Billboard Pride about the inspiration behind the track, vocalist Terra Lopez replied, “I made a promise to myself that I’m no longer going to play small or hide behind metaphors, that I’m going to really lean into self-confidence, self-reliance and take up space. [BURST] is the beginning of that.”
Directed by Kris Esfandiari of King Woman and queer filmmaker Colette Levesquem, the video was a creative reinterpretation of Queer Space Jam for 2019.
