Every so often a songwriter pens a track that perfectly summarizes the social and political qualms of the time. London-based singer Mali-Koa’s latest single, “Revolution” just might be the inspirational theme song we need for 2020.
The track co-produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Maestro ‘The Baker’ and Onree Gill with special guest vocals by Ella Q and Sing choir brilliantly encapsulates the feeling of the growing resistance. Fueling those warrior on the ground actively fighting misogyny, racism, climate change denial, capitalism and more.
In a statement released by the Australian native, Mali-Koa outlines the importance of the track stating, “every day we make a choice to step bravely into the world and be an active participant in the life we want to lead. Sometimes it takes someone or something to inspire real change and uplift you from thoughts of self-doubt and fear.”
Later adding, “I’ve never been so pleased and proud to have my story told like this.”
