The New West Records roster is growing yet again. In a public announcement, the label introduced supporters to its new signee, Ratboys.
For indie rock lovers, the name Ratboys should sound familiar, having opened for acts like Julien Baker and The Decemberists. The Chicago-based four-piece, which consists of Julia Steiner, Dave Sagan, Marcus Nuccio, and Sean Neumann, is wasting no time at the new musical home.
Ratboys shared their debut single on the label, “Light Night Mountains All That,” along with their 2026 tour schedule.
On Instagram, Ratboys issued their own statement about joining New West Records’ roster and their new record.
“Writing [‘Light Night Mountains All That’] together while cooped up in a cabin in Wisconsin was one of the most joyful and unhinged experiences we’ve ever had as a band. S-tier crazy sh*t,” wrote the band. “And we’re so excited to put it out today with the help of the wonderful team at New West Records, who we’ve long admired & who have signed us on to be a part of their killer roster.”
In the comment section, New West Records returned the love.
“Welcome to the family,” wrote a rep for the label. “So proud to have you here.”
