After racking up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube for his solo work on top of the millions of streams through his collaborative efforts, PRODA proves he’s the next big thing to come out of the garden state.
The rapper, producer, and budding fashion entrepreneur has grabbed the attention of avid rap lovers as well as a few undercover haters or so his new single, “Heart Shaped” details.
As he raps, “they don’t love you like they’re saying / they just do the bare minimum until you make it,” it is evident the Newark native has some things to get off his chest.
Co-produced by Notez, “Heart Shaped” has all of the bravado of a traditional hip-hop track injected with the infectious catchy nature of a pop track. Opening line, “fake love worse than real hate,” is perfect for a social media caption or as a stinging quip to a foe.
For casual fans PRODA may be a new addition to your playlist, but he’s no rookie. Since breaking out onto the underground music scene in 2015 as part of the Highclass Hoodlum collective, PRODA has perfected his craft. During that journey, he has witnessed first-hand just how fairweathered people can be.

It’s crazy ‘cause the red flags be heart shaped,” show that PRODA is doing some relationship housekeeping starting with these fraudulent folk.
When asked about the inspiration behind the song he plainly proclaimed, “I’m aware of the fake interest people are showing me,” adding, “they can’t be on familiar grounds with me anymore.”
In the official video, starring models Bianca Evani Sanders and Sofia Melida, director Blaze, The Rebel depicts the aftermath of this realization. PRODA is laser focused on his art and surrounded by those that truly have his best interest at heart.
