Indo-Canadian artist Priya Panda isn’t new to the musical scene but her new single “Freaky Girl” certainly is. Acclaimed for being the lead singer for hard-rock/heavy metal underground band Diemonds, Priya Panda is ready to fly with her own wings and show herself in the raw.
The official video released for “Freaky Girl” is evocative yet pretenseless. The visuals are retro. The vocals? Intoxicating. Priya managed to design an aesthetic that reminds viewers of the late 80’s and 90’s. The catchy melody is accompanied by synth pop elements and Priya’s irrefutable magnetism.
Priya delivers and doesn’t hold back. She won’t let her previous work dictate what she is allowed to create. She is venturing into new territories and it’s clear by the sound of “Freaky Girl” that she is enjoying the ride. She is a woman of her own making. A woman who won’t let anyone pass her by.
