Pearl Charles Tackles ‘Imposter’ Syndrome on New Groovy Track

Pearl Charles

Country-folk singer Pearl Charles continues to cement her signature psychedelic sound with the new Carole King-inspired track, “Imposter”. As the third single off the forthcoming album, Magic Mirror via Kanine Records, Charles continues to cement her signature psychedelic sound. On the trippy track, the Los Angeles-based songwriter in her words, “tells the story of someone wrestling with their larger cosmic identity”.

I had a chance to catch up with the singer to ask about the inspiration behind the track to which she replied, “on the surface [Imposter] sounds like a sunshiney day, but there is a darkness that lurks beneath when you take a minute to listen more closely,” later adding, “[Imposter] deals with the general idea of ‘Imposter Syndrome’, feeling like a fraud despite your qualifications and accomplishments, which many professional women struggle with.”
