Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners’ and Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘One Battle After Another’ Lead The Oscar 2026 Nomination Pack

For weeks, the film award session has kept cinema lovers engaged in heated debate online. Now, with the release of the 2026 Oscars nomination list, chatter will continue to rage on.

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners set a record as the most-nominated film of the ceremony. With 16 nods, Sinners is up in Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Directing, Original Score, Original Song, and more. Several members of the Sinners cast, including Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, and Delroy Lindo, have secured their first-ever Oscar nomination.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another follows Sinners with 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and more. Thanks to her portrayal of Perfidia, Teyana Taylor earned her first Oscar nomination (Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role).

Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Elle Fanning (Sentimental Value), Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), and Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value) also secured their first acting Oscar nominations.
