The whispers are growing louder, critics and fans alike are throwing Mello Music Group‘s Nolan The Ninja‘s LP SPORTEE in the ring for best indie rap album of the year. On the heels of the internet debate, Nolan releases the official visual for the Diego-produced single, “BLOOM”.
In the video directed and edited by Cylent Media, Nolan breaks through layers of his gritty Detroit exterior to reveal his delicate interior.
When asked about the inspiration behind the video, Nolan replied, “I wrote “BLOOM” after I wrapped up the first master of ‘SPORTEE’ last year. I was in a whole new space. It’s more of a ‘new chapter’ energy. At least, that’s what I aimed to channel,” adding, “something very relaxed but celebratory at the same time.”
