Absence makes the heart grow fonder. This most certainly was the case for New England’s local music scene. Last year, organizers of Nice, A Fest, announced a temporary hiatus. Well, over on the multi-day extravaganza’s official Instagram page, organizers confirmed it would be returning this summer.
From July 24 to July 26, festivalgoers will descend on Somerville, Massachusetts, for Nice, A Fest 2026. With a mission to spotlight regional acts, organizers were able to secure over 70 performers, which include Meg Elsier (Westborough, Massachusetts native), Sophie’s Body (Boston, Massachusetts-based), Air Traffic Controller (Malden, Massachusetts roots), and Dead Gowns (Portland, Maine-based).
Over on the festival’s official website, organizers doubled down on this programming vow, writing, “All artists on all past NICE, a fest lineups have been local to Boston or have ties to the area. In 2026, the lineup is expanding to include artists from all six New England states. No headliners, just 3 jam-packed days of the best of the best local indie music that we think you need to hear.”
Nice, A Fest 2026 is scheduled to take place between July 24, 2026, and July 26, 2026, in Somerville, Massachusetts, across multiple venues, including Crystal Ballroom, The Rockwell, and Dragon’s Lair. Tickets for the festival are on sale now. Find more information here.
