The New York City film award season is in full swing. The latest round of trophy snatchers has been shared. Directors, cinematographers, actors, and film students gathered for the 2025 New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
The evening’s biggest winners were Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just an Accident (Best Director), Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another (Best Film and Best Supporting Actor), and Kleber Mendonça Filho’s The Secret Agent (Best Actor and Best International Film).
