New Bleach Finds The Glass Half Full on “Silver Lining”

New Bleach

New Bleach is the summer duo we’ve all been looking for! Hailing from Quebec, Dominic Pelletier and Raphaël Potvin are cultivating a refreshingly synth centric sound wrapped in neon lights.

New Bleach first came onto the scene with their debut single, Awake”, a straightforward story of infatuation that quickly turns to an introspectively meta conversation between two people. “Awake” served as a foot in the industry door and their follow up single does not disappoint

Silver Lining”, the group’s second release via Coyote Records, is an anthem for those striving to find the light during hard times. The lyrics long for a calmer world while the warbling synth and electronic percussion creates New Bleach’s meditative sound. The video adds a psychedelic side to the music as they drive to the ends of the world in a darkly lit car. Deep purple and red dance over faces as kaleidoscope print swirls outside the windows. A lit cigarette dangling from his finger, Pelletier croons the song’s refrain,  “look at me / can you see a silver lining hiding behind my mind / it’ll be ok”.
