Last year, the butterfly broke free of her major label shackles. Back in September, Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Mariah Carey dropped Here For It All, her first studio album as an independent artist.
Supporters of the historic chart-topper were here for every bit of the new body of work. But fellow musicians are also here to celebrate the entirety of Carey’s highly decorated discography.
This Friday, January 30, MusiCares will honor Mariah Carey during its Person of the Year benefit gala. The Grammy Week 2026 calendar is filled with must-attend events. However, this gala is proving to be the hottest ticket in town as it is set to feature tribute performances from Billy Porter, Foo Fighters, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Laufey, Adam Lambert, Charlie Puth, Kesha, Maggie Rogers, and Teddy Swims; and Taylor Momsen of (The Pretty Reckless).
Today (January 27), MusiCares revealed an additional performer on its official Instagram page. The newly added entertainer is the budding British girl group FLO.
Carey gushed about the upcoming tribute sets.
“I’m deeply honored to have these extraordinary artists come together for this evening,” said Carey. “Their generosity, their presence, and their commitment to this moment mean more to me than I can express. Being part of this celebration in benefit of MusiCares and the support they provide to those in the music community makes this night even more special. I’ve always believed that music heals, and it’s meant to be shared!”
Carey’s longtime collaborator and friend, Jermaine Dupri, is set to kick off the ceremony with a special curated DJ set. In addition to the live performers, the evening will also feature a live auction.
In a press release, MusiCares’ Executive Director Theresa Wolters sang Carey’s praises.
“Mariah Carey’s music has touched the hearts of millions and inspired countless artists,” said Wolters. “It will be thrilling to hear these performers bring their own voices to her landmark songs, offering fresh interpretations that celebrate her artistry in new ways — a reminder of the power of music to connect us all.
